چکیده
The author synthesized a Green reagent N, N1-bis (4-dimethyl amino benzyl) ethylene diamine for the analysis of heavy metals namely Fe, Cd, Cr, Cu and Co by FAAS using Amberlite-XAD-16 in various environmental samples. The results shows good recovery compared with the results obtained with Cytosine. Effects of pH, reagent concentration, flowrate, volume of sample etc were studied.

Background: In the last two decades, air pollution has become a serious problem, leading to a variety of harmful health effects. Street dust is a complex combination of pollutants from different sources, which can be a good indicator of air quality in the urban environment. So, this study was conducted to assess the health risk of toxic metals associated with street dust and identify their emis...
متن کاملPotentially Toxic Elements Contamination in Sediment, Surface and Pore water of Maharlu Saline Lake, South - West Iran
Maharlu Lake, located in the SW of Iran, has acted as a sink for various wastewater discharges in the last few decades. This study aimed at assessing potentially toxic elements (PTEs) distribution in sediment, surface and pore water samples of Maharlu Lake. To achieve that, the samples were collected from each compartment and the total concentration of PTEs (Al, Fe, Sc, Cr, Co, Ni, Zn, As, Sb, ...
متن کاملMonitoring of essential and heavy metals in green tea from different geographical origins
The present study measured the concentrations of toxic metals (Cd, Pb) and other elements (Ca, K, Mg, Na, P, Mn, Fe, Zn, Cu, Co, Cr, Ni) in tea leaves and their infusions. The total metal contents were determined by atomic absorption spectrometry. Phosphorus concentration was determined using an ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer. Assessment of the mineral composition enabled determination o...
